OP, those builds aren't accurately comparable
to do that you'd desire a WDC black 640GB HDD, a pcp&c or corsair 500-550w PSU, and apply an i7 950 instead of the 920.
And what is it for? Because benchmarks explain even when running windows on the Mac, it would still suck at gaming, no issue what card they place in. However Mac’s are normally better at media editing.

If you want more rate for less cost, skipping the Mac is a no-brainer, unless you completely have to have OSX and light colored, partially-eaten-fruit-adorned hardware.

That's Apple excise for you. I'm damn sure that Xeon in the Mac isn't even a Nehalem based processor.

It was the earliest PC (Macs are PC's too, just with Apple tax and Ready-Built Tax) to find the Xeon Nehalem processor.

Macs aren't "PC's". They are computers, but not what is now identified as a "personal computer".
