Nehalem is only a code name of the core; there are various tweaked versions available of the core for various uses. Nehalem will extend from mobile to desktop to server.

Desktop versions are code named Bloomfield. They’ll be around 2.66 GHz to 3.2 GHz. With dual and triple channel memory controllers and a new LGA 1366 socket. It was launched some time back in 2008.

The Westmere seems to the best amongst the rest. It requires the same socket as Bloomfield and have triple and quad memory controller. It will be middle of 2010 I guess, and then it will be the only 32nm CPU made by Intel. It is the "second batch" of Nehalem, same as the link between current Core 2 Duos compared to the original. Westmere also might have some upgraded graphics integrated into the CPU. Intel will continue with the Extreme Edition CPUs by providing open multipliers not for free though.

It also has a new pair of new sockets as well, which means you are required to upgrade your motherboard to meet the new and bets CPU. With on-board memory controller, I’m hoping to see this scenario at least till the DDR3 gets old.
