Here’s a full review of the Intel Celeron 420. A full study of all the prospects of this CPU, and its features and performance as well. Here’s a study of the testing that is performed in comparison with the E2140.
There are single cores, dual cores, quad cores and the tricore processor is coming very soon. It will be available at various speeds and cache values. Though it’s not the best but surely the quad core runs everything one needs.
Celeron has tried to maintain less cache and very few cores, but runs at the same speed. We’ll see, whether the Celeron still keeps up with its higher counterparts.
The Celeron 420 is the only CPU of its generation. It’s the last single core CPU planned by Intel. After this all will be either dual core or more than that, also for the Celeron bargain bin CPUs. Only the time will tell how the dual core Celeron CPUs hold on when they come in market.
From here the Celeron CPU will start using the Core architecture. It’s a great beginin that will provide a better and improved performance over the Celerons available.
