The Dell Studio XPS 435 has a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 920 processor and 8MB of L2 cache. It comes with 6GB of DDR3 SDRAM, expandable up to 24GB. There’s lots of memory available on the XPS 435, as it has two 1,000 GB hard drives at 7,200 RPM. Its integrated graphics come in the form of nVidia GeForce GTX 260 1792 MB processor.
If the design doesn’t meet up with you requirements, there is enough space on the interior of the XPS 435 to perform upgrades. There are 6 RAM slots and three HDD bays available, and a PCI card input, 2 1x PCI Express slots, and a 4X PCI Express slot too. But, there’s no space for a second graphics card, however many users won’t be required that much space.
The exterior of the XPS 435 has plenty of connectivity options. One big disadvantage is that there’s no HDMI slot. Though Blu-ray drive, so when wants to connect their PC with HDTV will have to take a rain check. But, still options of 8 USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, eSATA, digital audio outputs, analog audio outputs, headphone jacks, microphone jacks, and much more. A 15-in-1 card reader is also available on board. The XPS 435 uses Vista as operating system.
The Dell Studio is very good as far as the performance goes but not the best. But still, it’s a good machine handling a wide range of tasks, such as media conversion, editing, and multitasking and more. Gaming requirements are also fulfilled, but the non-availability of second graphics card shows up. Therefore it’s more of a commercially desktop and not a gaming-specific desktop. The XPS 435 does use a lot of power in comparison to others of its category.
