The Acer Aspire One has a 512 MB of RAM, a bright 8.9" 1024x600 display, 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 8 GB NAND Flash, a Fedora-derivative ditribution named Linpus, a three cell battery, a 0.3 MP web cam, integrated microphone and speakers, a VGA output, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 2 SDHC/MS slots, 3.5mm audio out, microphone-in and a Kensington lock. But these are only the basic features and that's where Acer's Aspire One really stands out from others.

Size-wise, the Aspire One is slightly on the larger side, it has a 10-inch MSI Wind, with a specious keyboard and is very comfortable to type on. The Aspire is larger than the Asus, and is also lightweight, because of its 3-cell battery. It also has page-up and page-down key, which are very handy for machines having smaller display requiring lots of scrolling.

The touch pad is very specious though not too deep, making it look like a letter-box. It's very comfortable to use in comparison with the other netbooks of its class. The mouse buttons are placed to the left and right of the touch pad making a little getting used for touch-typists. The 8.9-inch wide- display LCD offers a 1,024x600 resolution, same as found on other 9-10inch netbooks.

Acer's Aspire One Netbook is available in many colors such as coral pink, golden brown, sapphire blue and seashell white etc. The Aspire One is compact, stylish, very comfortable, stil very portable enough and very eye-catching as well.
