Many features are absent from the Aspire One many of the bells and whistles that conservative laptops have; the features available are very useful. The Aspire One comes with 3 USB ports, Hardware-wise, the only thing that's absent is Bluetooth. Even the Express Card slot is missing from the system available in the Lenovo IdeaPad S10.
If one wants the netbook only for the purpose of net surfing, 8 GB storage space would be enough, but inclusion of SD card on the second SD slot will provide extra storage space. One can also purchase additional RAM and can add it to the Acer Aspire One. HDD upgrades are a bit complicated.
Acer's latest netbook comes with Linux software. The software has 4 main categorized icon teams that user can select from, as well as networking having Firefox; Acer-developed e-mail, having instant messaging; productivity having Open Office; and a games icon.
The Aspire One comes with a one-year warranty on its parts and labor, and also has Acer a mini-site for the Aspire One separate from its main site.
