The appearance is the biggest advantage of the Gateway On. This computer has a 19 inch display, wireless keyboard, wireless mouse, and a power brick. As stated previously, this computer only has 1 cable which hooks from the display to the power brick.

The 19 inch display is slimmer than the iMac, though smaller in display size. It's a little unsatisfactory that the One doesn't provide a wider display size in the higher-end model. The screen is attractive with its piano-black finish, offering a very sleek and sexy appearance. The display is 17.4 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 3.5 inches thick, and weighs about 22 lbs.

The speakers are placed at the bottom-front of the monitor, hidden nicely. On the right hand side of the monitor there is a DVD/CD burner. On the left hand side are three USB ports, a 6-pin FireWire port, a 5-in-1 media card reader, and a headphone jack. On top of the PC there is a detachable 1.3 MP webcam.

The wireless keyboard has the similar plexiglass finish as the display. It appears very attractive, and it appears like it is more durable than a normal keyboard. The mouse is of latest design that is very novel. In place of a right and left mouse button, the mouse has an inbuilt sensor that senses right and left clicks and scrolling up and down too.

Another nice feature of the One's design is the power brick. The power brick is of smaller size, and is used to connect the 1 needed cable to the PC. This power brick comes with the 4 USB ports on it, which brings the total number of USB ports up to seven. It even has a digital audio output for attaching an external sound system.

Gateway also added a TV tuner in the One, which plugs in from USB 2.0. Gateway comes with a remote control for watching television.
