Dell launched the D630 in May 2007 with its elder brother the D830. The biggest difference between the 2 Dells is the size of the display, the D630 has 14.1 inches, and the D830's has a 15.4 inches. Both laptops provide the next era processor by Intel, called the Santa Rosa. This 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor offers both the Dell's laptops a lot of speed and the capacity to multi-task with great performance too.

The Dell D630 worth every penny. Costs of the D630 begin at $849 on the Dell website. Many people will go for more alternatives of their D630 base model, which will add to the price a bit, but the cost is still affordable. A well featured D630 will cost around $1,700-$2,000, making it reasonably affordable. The D630's nearest competition is the Lenovo ThinkPad T61, costing about $2,500 for a well equipped wide display model. The T61 may out class the D630 by a small margin, but the D630 is a bit on the costlier side. The Dell D630 is a better than the Lenovo T61.
