Level of noise is a major concern for a lot of people. If you think PCs are getting louder, it’s somewhat true. As PCs get faster and faster, they use more power and generate more heat. The best way to take out the heat is to move plenty air within the case, which needs fans. Fans generate sound.

Few years back, lots of PCs had only a power supply fan. A normal modern PC has many of them more than 5 or 6, the CPU fan, a couple of supplemental case fans, and fans for the chipset, video card, and HDD. All of these fans are required in keeping the parts cool, but all of them generate noise. But, there are ways to cool a PC properly without making that much noise.
