All IBM PC use a ship named the Basic Input/Output System to handle the general hardware functions of the PC. If required to modify those general functions like configuring the PC to boot from the CD-ROM drive in place of the HDD, the modification is made in the BIOS. Enter the BIOS configuration of IBM or Lenovo PC by pressing the right key at the time of boot up.
Instructions:
• Restart the PC.
• Press the "F1" key straight away after starting the PC if having a latest IBM desktop PC or specific ThinkPad models. If having a Lenovo-based ThinkPad laptop, move to step 3.
• Press the key with the IBM logo straight away after starting the PC if having a Lenovo based ThinkPad laptop. If the F1 key doesn’t cause the PC to enter the BIOS setup and there is no key with an IBM logo, go to step number 4.
• Press the F2 key straight away after starting the PC.
