Default Computer hangs up in Windows XP

It was freezing similar to wild so I leaved as well as get this Thermal Paste TC-1996 for 5 bucks at a local computer store and until now after that it yet freezes just not as often. My microprocessor didn't evermore have a paste on it, I unmounted the heat sink to fresh it in the past normal times and never put a fresh paste on. Could it be permanently injured? Also, does it matter which paste to make use of? Someone recommended acquiring Arctic Silver 5 or else something of that kind. But I just don’t wish to expect.

And to finish, what is the point of Thermal Paste anyway? What does it made-up to do? As the one I acquired doesn't emerge to be doing it and my system until now freezes at strange as well as unknown times. I acquired to close all the programs on the bottom correct to stop these freezes.

    My specification:

AGP 4X/8X HDCP equipped Video Card
80GB Maxtor HDD or else 200G Seagate (master)
3GB of RAM (Corsair 2 sticks regular of 1 each, along with the 3rd XML)
    ASUS AH3650 SILENT/HTDI/512M Radeon HD 3650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2
500GB Wester Digitital ATI or else whatever the form
    Coolmax AP-550X PSU
    ASUS Motherboard (A7N8X)

There might be some damages to your microprocessor. How long did it leave with no paste of some type? Hours, days, weeks?

Also I am not sure or not. I am sure someone here identify more regarding RAM after that I do. But I would always try to have matching sets. I noticed you have two unrelated types of RAM in your system. I deduction if they are the comparable speed it desire matter.

Check the model figures of your hard drives as well as verify on the manufacturer’s web site if they are SATA I or else II.

Also check that your motherboard's chipset supports Native Command Queing/Tagged Command Queuing hard drives (SATA II).

Your motherboard's chipset might not sustain NCQ/TCQ hard drives (SATA II). With a SATA II hard drive with a chipset that doesn't sustain it will cause the system to hang up now and then.

If this is the reason next the key is a assure Controller card.

I own a Deluxe edition of the MB operating for lots of years. The motherboard was launched earlier to SATA plus does not sustain SATA HDs. I enclose the AMD Athlon 3200. The MB is particular with RAM as well as acquires hot quickly when OC. Perhaps try setting the RAM speed, timing along with voltage manually in BIOS. Increase the RAM voltage to 2.6v.

But guys, I enclose NEVER had this anonymity as well as ran this HD (it is SATA 1), with RAM for years. Also, the Motherboard arrived with SATA cords as well as sata plugs within the mobo. So it MUST be friendly with SATA.

The excellent old Athlon XP's sprint Hot with your old microprocessor maybe deceased.

A bad microprocessor can boot as well as offer a signal but will carry out actually badly plus crash.

I would aim under clocking it... try running it as slow as possible to watch if it helps constancy.

I would also guess how fine the motherboard is as those old boards also aren’t unending as they include older capacitors.

Also I keep in mind how often I stabbed those motherboards with a flat screwdriver while removing the heat sink... thanks to computers no longer have that subject.

Yeah that's what I been doing. It was the only mode I could run this game anyhow.

I ran it at 1500 last night plus it worked without crashing once. Today though it crashed so I'm underclocking it yet more. It’s at 1266 MHz now and so far no trouble but I don't recognize when or when... don’t yet want to say it.

And yes I went my poor motherboard so many times I was scared it would break, but it's the only method I can mod my sinker on.

And thanks. If you can't find out the microprocessor don’t worry on it though.

Also, is it true that models (I expect yours is ever as it’s 3000+) just let you to run 2 GB of ram? If not the mainboard runs into troubles? I'm operating a type and I listened to that the 3200+ ones are similar to that.

I buyed a new microprocessor from eBay (2700+) as well as I is having the related issue.

I think it's my video card. I've had issue with it in the long-ago. It would crash when I’d be playing Wow as a minimum a few times a week.
