Panache Smile PC is a compact desktop with all its components enclosed in a glossy black rectangular metal box. It is quite portable and easy to carry around. The design is very basic and minimal. It has nine outputs on its rear including USB ports, power connection port, audio and microphone jack, monitor input among other things. The lower part of the device tends to get hotter than the rest of it as there are no vents to allow airflow.

Setting up the device is very easy. Once the monitor is connected the device is ready to be used. It comes pre-loaded with the Windows 7 Starter Edition. The performance test benchmarks were kept the same as the ones we have for netbooks, as this kind of configuration is found on netbooks. Performance wise Panache gives scores which are slightly less than the Best Performer ASUS Eee PC 1005HA netbook. The PC Mark benchmark CPU score was 1396 whereas the Cinebench CPU Rendering test gave a score of CB 840. It took 279 secs for VOB to DivX file conversion and 49 secs for a 1 GB file transfer. Panache Smile PC is ideal for users who want to use the browse the net, chat or work on documents. With the help of the LAN port it can be used as a remote torrent client.
