    Default Question about new CPU

    My present CPU is a Pentium D 930.The fresh CPU I'm attending be acquiring is a Pentium Dual Core E6500.The wonder is how much better is the E6500 over the Pentium D 930 ?.

    In conditions of performance and wattage per MHz superior. its a core 2 structure afterall.does your former mobo support the new CPU? total specs pleased a little bit on the gpu purchase.

    E6500 will be rather the bump in performance and power savings. while you may require to believe other chips looking on what your motherboard supports. I'd appear at the E5400 in person.

    My Motherboard is the Asus P5E it has the X38 chip set. The CPU's confirmed by my Motherboard are as adopts. Core 2 Quad Core 2 Extreme Core 2 Duo Pentium Extreme Pentium Pentium 4It as well supports Next-gen 45nm multi-core CPU's.

    I believe the former D's were net burst or any it was called back then. The new 45nm dualities are actually a good upgrade from what you have now for a good net in performance. I would go with JD's thought if your board supports it.

    Why don't you appear at a Core 2 Quad instead? Something in the 9x50 series would be idealistic. 9x00 would be alright too but I'd communicate on the 8x00 series.
