Thread: Zalman VF 700 AL-CU CPU cooler

Zalman - known as a manufacturer of special low-noise PC components - followed by the new VF-series to the layout of the famous Zalman CPU cooler. The 700 AL-CU is characterized by a significant weight advantage over the full copper version (VF 700 CU) from. The heat sink is made of hybrid design: The centrally arranged cooling fins are made of copper, while used outdoors aluminum fins.

An outstanding feature of the cooler is the large-scale and effective cooling adjacent components of the graphics card. The generously sized fan causes not only an effective ventilation of the heat sink but also ensures a significant reduction in temperature of surrounding components. The coller can be adapted to individual requirements. By default, the fan can be connected via a free fan connector on the motherboard (standard mode = 12 volts). In addition, there is a special adapter cable (multi-connector) included. Using the cable can be operated up to 4 components in two different modes (12 or 5 volts).

This results for the fan in two modes:
• Standard Mode: 12 Volts - 2,650 rpm - 28.5 dBa
• Silent mode: 5 V - 1.350 rpm - 18,5 dBa

In this way, the cooling capacity can be adapted to the respective requirements.
