HTPC, office PCs and secondary computer usually have some common features. You are economical, quiet and still be fast. The graphics performance usually plays a minor role, accelerated video decoding, and an HDMI output is an advantage. Intel's Bloomfield processors fulfill these properties when H55 or H57 chip set will be combined with one.
In this case we have a boxed version of the Intel Core i3-530 and are concerned that entry-level package in more detail. With a price of less than 90 € CPU is quite favorable. It has two cores and Hyper-Threading, the turbo boost is present.
The Intel Core i3-530 is the smallest processor from Intel's socket family, the Hyper-Threading 1156. In contrast to the i5 Core processors but not Turbo Boost AES still commands the support.
With a multiplier of 22 reached the CPU has a clock of 2933 MHz, which is just not a little. Especially for programs that utilize only one or two cores, CPU, this therefore very well suited to what the HTPC and office area of interest makes all before.
We come with over clocking on the problem of a very high voltage for the IMC . We stop at a voltage of 1.3 volts, which base clock of 190 megahertz our limited. Everything about it leads to an unstable system.
The voltage for the CPU itself remains moderate at 1.28 volts. Reached a clock speed of just under 4.2 GHz, after all, an increase of almost 45 percent.
