An expecting at the specs over, those of you know with AMD’s Phenom 2 X4 processors will instantly observe that the novel Phenom 2 X4 980 Black Version is a velocity-bump of the tested-and-true Deneb core. Similar to former Deneb-based Phenom 2 processors, the X4 980 BE sports a complete of 512K of LOne cache, with 2MB of L2 cache (512K per core), and 6MB of distributed L3 cache.
The chips are created on GlobalFoundries 45nm DSL SOI process node and are contained of roughly 758 million transistors. As we have stated, the absence clock velocity of the Phenom 2 X4 980 Black Version is 3.7GHz, but the maximums TDP stays among the traditional 125W envelope of its Black Version predecessors. Entire of the other characteristicss and specs of the X4 980 BE too stay unaltereds from former Deneb-based processors.
