HP’s Pavilion pSix-2022uk is commonly sold as a stand-alone base unit, but Computer World has bunched it with an LED-backlit Samsung monitor. Large brand Computers rarely compete with littler vendors for value, but the Pavilion copes with or exceeds the specs of few custom-built Computers.
Its Intel Core i3-2120 processor is par for the course: an entire score of 64 means it is capable of most functioning Windows apps smoothly, and there is too Four GB of RAM and a 1TB hard disk. There is no dedicated graphics board and the Core i3-2120's incorporated Intel HD Graphics chip is not up to playing games, as shown through its score of below 13fps in our DiRT 3 benchmark.
You may be capable to play former games but you would not be capable to play Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 3, for example. As good as two free SATA headers, there are 3 free PCI-E xOne ports and one free PCI-E x16 port. If you tidy the wiring away, there is sufficient room to set a big dedicated graphics board. The trouble is the 300W power furnish,
which would not be capable to abiliaty few cards and does not have any free Molex or PCI-E power plugs. Another trouble is the deficiency of drive bays - contempt having 2 free SATA headers, there are no additional drive bays.Outer expansion is fix as well.
There are just 6 USB slots in complete, and none of these supports the quicker USB3 standard. Sound is fixed to 3 3.5mm outputs and, although there are VGA and DVI outputs, the Samsung monitor has just a VGA input.Strangely it does not have any controls beyond a power key.
However, through keeping this down you can acquire the monitor to auto-set, so you will acquire a stable image on the VGA-just monitor. It can too be fixed utilizing Samsung's MagicTune software through the Computer.
That is a shame, as the Samsung S22A100N is a well-appearing monitor, with a thin profile and a textured rear casing, and its picture quality was otherwise excellent, with powerful colours.
The bright backlight was still, but there was a bit of backlight bleed at the edges that spoiled the picture. Vertical showing angles were too fussy, with no discernible sweet spot where contrast was uniformly still. The HP keyboard and mouse are nice budget examples.
