Default Corsair H100 - largely costly, unattractive and commonly extremely useless too

All-in-one water-cooling kits have arrive a long way in the last pair of years. We have arrive across lot in the past and they were mostly costly, unattractive and commonly highly ineffective also. Few were still worse at cooling overclocked central processing units than the pertinent reference cooler – a particularly damning time.

The similar can not be told for the recent crop of sealed-loop efforts though; they dominate the top of our cooling graphs. Similar to the H80, the H100 is compatible not only with our Socket AMiii+ and LGA1155 CPU boards, but also with Intel’s latest LGA2011 central processing unit socket.

It is created for Corsair through CoolIT, a Canadian company with a long history of making sealed-loop liquid coolers below its own name. This is an alter for Corsair, as most last example were created for it through Asetek. As you can tell from its name, the H100 resides above the H80 in Corsair’s cooling rate, as it is equipped with a double 120mm-fan radiator – the other water-cooled examples on try sport just single-fan rads.

We are happy that Corsair has finally assumed the plunge, though, as the H100 appears and experience a lot more meaty than 120mm radiator coolers such as the H80. The real fin field is unlikely to be importantly greater, though, as

the H100’s radiator is not as deep – a act that Corsair has likely created in order to decrease the space needed to fit it, developing compatibility. You will require room in your case to be capable to mount the radiator, which is even probably to be a stumbling block for most individual.

More cases are skilled with double-radiator mounts in their roof these days, but failing that, there is ever the choice to assume matters into your own hands and turn that individual 120mmm roof mount into two with few assist from uncle Dremel. If you do this, though, you will need to make confirm the tubes reach the mounts; they are just 320mm in length and might struggle to reach in bigger cases.

As with the H80, the central processing unit block houses the pump that holds the water running around the loop. It too acts as a hub for the fans link to the radiator of the unit. Corsair bunches the H100 with 2 fans but there is the potential of including another 2 so that the 4 fans are managed in a push-pull configuration, as there are 4 fan slots on the central processing unit block.

You can attach the fans into the CPU board as common if you wish, but if you do, you will miss out on the velocity controller built into the central processing unit block.
