Default Cannot attach Cooler Expert PSU 20+4 pin cable to CPU board

My PC is last set up with gigabyte CPU board. Yesterday I have purchased a Cooler Master Silent Pro 500w. The CPU board just has 24 pin connector. When I test to attach the PSU power connector to the CPU board, it just fits 20 pin component but the additional 4 pins would not set at all. A small plastic part preventing other 4 pins not to fit. I can not substitute the PSU now. Is there any workaround?

Remaining 4 pins are utilized just if you own a dedicated VGA whose consumption is of 75watts. The 4 remaining pins can be included less any trouble. In theory this individual source incorporated into the ATX link 1 x 4 pin additional apart from the 20 pin connector.

If you have nowhere to attach in their spare cables, then it is that your CPU board does not support that type of power supply. In that case, merely connect just the cables you require and leave leftover organized for excellent ventilation inner the tower. If you require a cable connected then you need a fresh power supply or a converter. There are few converters to 4 +4 pin molex or molex to 4 pin molex to PCIe or (6 pin).

On your CPU board, there should be 2 connectors for power supply: A 24 pin on the right of the CPU board to the memories. An 8-pin at the top of the graph nearly above the proc. You get rid of the cover, and you plug the 8 pin. In conditions of power or for PCIe graphics boards, few cards claim 6 pins, others 8. So you can feed other kinds of cards with your PSU. No worries if they are free.

The 24Pin links is the standard CPU board connector. Which is commonly in a 20 and a 4-split if it is mixed with you, as far as you are on your CPU board have a 24pin. You require one more plug for the central processing unit. The thick plug with 20 +4 pins you put in into the matching connector on the board . They should too have 24 pins, so you can tuck the complete cable (too the 4pin connector). In addition, there must be a separate 4-pin connector kind on the power supply, then in the 4-pin connector is on the board.

I myself had with my power supply the similar trouble. Just a 20 pin power supply link is situated on the 24pin CPU board sockets and a 4-pin power connector 8-pin socket on the CPU board. Everything functions with no troubles. Likely you will not require that adapter.
