Default CPU board advice For media server

Hey , I willing to construct the media server and have the core i3-2105 processor. I have Antec 300 cabinet with CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 power supply. I am finding for the CPU board that will cope with nice with this configuration. The CPU board should have Universal Serial Bus 3.0 port, SATA port of 6gbps with 3 Random access memory slots. I have got ASUS P8H67-M LE (REV 3.0) CPU board but it has just 2 slots for RAM. Do you guys familiar any other CPU board other than this? I select it because I need USB 3.0 port for connecting outer hard disk.

You will not require the CPU board with 6gbps unless you are utilizing any solid-state drive. Most of the SATA hard drives can barely use 3gbps bus velocity. As you are making media server then you should not option for the solid-state drives as it has less storage capacity. your i3 processor will be having available in graphics in to it and if you have correct CPU board then it will have the connector to utilize those graphics.

Sometimes CPU board have in built graphics and you can simply utilize them with your CPU through incorporated it. New Intel Sandy Bridge LGA1155, has the integrated graphics and you can utilize them through utilizing the HDMI.VGA or DVI connectors. I would like to familiar if this CPU board furnish video output connectors. I have not seen any LGA1155 with video output connectors that is why I am asking this question.

If you consider all Asus and MSI board then you will see that just advantage you will acquire through going with ASUS is that it supports the ATA drives also. It is expensive than MSI. ASUS too has the Four random access memory slot and they can too be overclocked in excellent manner than other CPU board. You can utilize this CPU board and document server should not have any problem with ATA drives.

Yes ,I do have former ATA drives with information in it. I need purchase new SATA drive but because of recent high costs of them I am not capable to purchase one. I will transfer entire of my information to SATA drive later. I am imagining of purchasing MSI board. Would I require more than 2 slots for the random access memory in order to assume advantage of double channel? Or I should only stick to 4 RAM slots? I do not think I will require more than 4 gb of RAM but I am too keeping it mind what if suppose one day I decide to turn this server back to the desktop ? please give me excellent suggestion on it.

You will need couple of random access memory to assume advantage of double channel. You will lose almost 5% of system functions through not selecting to have double channel. You can too get Patriot Gamer 2 Series 4 GB random access memory stick of 1600mhz for you or since the RAM is affordable you can have 2 sticks creating it 8GB of entire RAM.
