Time to throw another case into the combine. Now we are brought in an evolution of one of coolermasters largest sellers of the previous years. The Coolermaster CM 690 2 Advanced. Through listening to the end users input, the CM engineers have refined the 690 series case. Including a removable HD bay (to support up to 3GPUs simply), a hot swappable HD docking station, baptised X-docking station, are only a few of the new characteristics or informss as you need. The 690 II advanced is in build in a window and non windowed edition. Let's see what this beauty has acquired in store for you.
Coolermaster even distances itself with nice artwork on the cardboard box. Clearly listing entire the significant specifications and highlights of the added housing. No dull brown box to cut prices. Looks at Coolermaster it is all or nothing...
The CM 690 2 Advanced is a mid tower case in a amazing black finish. Observe the secure cover on the plastic bay slide for the X-docking station.
Few close ups on the front panel, ago we continue on the inner design. Nice crafted mesh grills in a glossy finish. E-SATA, 2 USB2.0 slots and the sounds in/out jacks. Sadly the CM 690 2 Advanced does not have USB3.0 support
Being skilled with three fans out of the box, Madshrimps has high expectations considering cooling function. The rear exhaust fan is a 120mm edition, 1200rpm at 17 dBa. The top fan is the similar edition as the front 140mm fan, this one however less the blue LED. Entire fans can either be exactly hooked up to the CPU board 3 pin fan links or an optional fan controller. If not in build only hook them up straight to the power supply 4 pin molex connectors through the added adapters. And if that cooling function is not up to your standards you can mount up 6 more to make a tornado flow inside your case...
Large cutouts for simple cable routing and management. The big CPU board tray cutout facilitates CPU cooler set up. If required you can still mount a little 80mm fan to blow few cool air on the rear of the CPU board CPU socket location.
Dust filters on the down mesh area (note that the 1 for the power supply unit mesh is not set up on the perfect picture ) Big Rubber feet minimize vibrations and maintain ya case rock solid in position.
