    Default Reliable external DVD burner

It's about an external DVD burner that will be used mainly for a few installations and to rip a few DVDs, most of the time is the only thing around is the LG Slim GP30NB20 considering or what else should be elected?

For your high standards, you can really buy any 0815 device so you can buy that device.

Yes, just so I want for about in less price / performance ratio when LG Electronics GP30NB20 I noticed 8x and DVD-RAM, which would, if used once. If you think that would be something else better, please explain, when I think LiteON testing could be an argument of the media.

If you check routines are important, just take a piece of software with built-in test routine, Nero, IMGBurn and some others can do it, you must set only one catch, you will only be fired, then check the result of firing. However, one should buy proper blanks, not any old cheap blank the quality is sometimes only after years i would also buy the LG qualitatively, however, would also have Samsung in question. Because the P / L ratio, I would not make me son Kopp, it's about a 30-euro items, after buying the same third loses its value and if the industry lowers the price of BR-burner, the DVD burner is even less interesting.

Affair Liteon is the only burner that can test the quality of blank it's not about a comparison of the original file with burned, from the Nick shows that I use Linux. What is a reasonable blank ;-) I use 10-year-old CD-RW from Lidl ;-), a Linux installation CD is burned, and then installed at the earliest opportunity, ie in 1/2-1 year burned out. DVDs are burned rather rare, firing is first and foremost, when hooked to install via USB stick we know, however, never emerging needs which suddenly.
