Monitor of a PC-works like a teleyision screen (Fig.!¬16). It displays text characters and graphics in colours or in shades of grey. The monitor is' also known as screen, display or a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube). Images produced on a PC depend on the screen you use. An image is made up of tiny dots called pixels. However, the results on the screen are shown only temporarily and are not permanent unless they are saved permanently on some mass storage device.
