Enable/Disable this item the BIOS will Enable/ Disable the clock generator spread spectrum.
CPU/SDRAMJPCI Clock
Default: Default
This item allows you to select the CPU/SDRAM/ pel frequency. We recommend that you leave this item at the default value.
CPU Clock Ratio
Default: X3
This item allows you to select the CPU frequency.
Load Fail-Safe Defaults
When you press <Enter> on this item you get a confirmation dialog box with message similar to:
Load Fail-Safe Default (Y/N)?N
Pressing 'Y' loads the BIOS default values for the most stable, minimal performance system operations.
Load Optimized Defaults
When you press <Enter> on this item you get a confirmation dialog box with a message similar to:
Load Optimized Defaults (Y/N)?
Pressing 'Y' loads the default values that are factory setting for optimal performance system operations.
Supervisor/User Password Setting
These two items can be used to install a Supervisor Password "and a User Password. If you log on as Supervisor, you have full access to the system, and you can restrict the permissions granted to someone who logs on as User. For example, a Supervisor can restrict a User from entering the setup utility.
To install a Supervisor or User Password, follow these steps:
1. Highlight the item Supervisor/User password on the main menu and press Enter.
2. The password dialog box will appear.
3. If you are making a new password, carefully type it. You cannot use more than 8 characters or numbers. The password will differentiate between upper case and lower case characters. Press Enter after you have typed in the password. If you are deleting a password that is already installed, just press Enter when the password dialog box appears.
4. The system will ask you to confirm the new password by asking you to type it second time. Carefully type the password again and press Enter, or just press Enter if you are deleting a password that is already installed.
5. If you type the password correctly, the password will be installed.
Save and Exit Setup Option This allows you to save the new setting values in the CMOS memory and continue with the booting process. Select what you want to do, press <Enter>.
Exit Without Saving Option
This allows you to exit the BIOS setup utility without recording any new values or changing old ones. Highlight this item and press Enter to save the change that you have made in the setup utility and exit the setup program. When the Save and Exit dialog box appears, press Y to discard changes and exit, or press N to return to the setup main menu.
