Sometimes you will need to disable an account for a while and later again enable it. There could be possibilities if a user has been laid off and then rehired again or for any other reason. The Accounts are disabled through the Computer Management Console.
1. Click on the Start button and click the left mouse-button.

2. Inside the push-up menu, move the mouse-pointer and place over the Programs option and click on it.

3. Another menu appears. Now move the mouse-pointer over the Administrative Tools option and click.

4. A sub-menu, listing various administrative tools, appears. Move the mouse-pointer over Computer Management option and click the left mouse-button.

5. Expand the Local Users and Groups tree as shown in.

6. Now select the users folder.

7. Choose properties by Right Clicking on the users whose account is to b(0 enabled or disabled. (Accounts are enabled by default when created).

8. Select the General tab

9. To disable the account. check the Account is Disabled checkbox. To enable an account. uncheck the checkbox as shown in the

10. click on button

For Setting Password restrictions, you may undertake following steps.

1. There is one more option in which a password cannot be changed. To make this setting, just Right Click the users account from the Computer Management console window and choose Properties. Check the checkbox User Cannot Change the Password as shown in

2. Click on the Ok button.
