I purchased a new laptop without any operating system installed on it. I decided to purchase the Windows Vista package separately and install it myself. After installing Vista I also installed some updates for the OS after which my laptop's sound stopped working. Even the icon on the taskbar notifies me about missing sound drivers. Has this been caused because of a faulty Vista installation or just because of the recently installed upgrades?
