Thread: Back up using Advance mode

To backup data in Advance mode, undertake the following steps:
1. Click on the Start button. A 'push-up menu appears.

Move the mouse-pointer over All Programs option. A list of prpgrams appears.
2. Move the mouse-pointer and place over Accessories. A menu appears.

3. Move the mouse-pointer and place over System Tools. A sub-menu appears.

4. In sub-menu, click over Backup option.

5. Welcome dialog box of Backup utility appears. Click over Advanced Mode hyperlink.

6. A Backup Utility dialog appears. Click over the Backup tab.

7. In Backup tab, you see the hierarchal view of drives and folders present on your computer. Select file or folder you want to backup.

8. After selecting file or folder, click over the Browse button to specify the location where you would like to store the backup.



9. Click over the Start Backup button to initiate the backup process.

10. A Back up job Information dialog appears. Type some brief description for backup under the Back description option.

11. Next, click radio button besides the Append this back up to the Media option.

12. Type any label in the label box to identify the back up file in case if file is overwritten.

13. Once again click on the Start Backup button.

14. As yay clid1m the Start Backup butron, a Backup Progress dialog appears with information regarding the progress of backup. If the size (measured in bytes) of file or folder is large then backup utility may take sometime to complete the process.

15. Once backup is taken, a conformation dialog box will appear with a message that tells backup is complete. If you want to see the detailed information then click on the Report button otherwise click on the Close button.
