    Default Columns on Gadgets

I am a subscriber & fan of your magazine. The New Year issue was really fantastic. New column 'Mashup' is quite entertaining but I would like to see some more new columns in the new year like Gamebuzz or Latest iPhone Apps or Mashup Contest etc. Superphones shootout proved quite useful for me as I am planning to buy one, most probably iPhone 3G. Windows 7 appears nice to me but still I am unable to decide if I should upgrade to it from my current Vista Home Premium, pre¬installed in my HP laptop. Your news about GTA IV's launch is really attractive. I have a query regarding this. When it is going to be launched by Express Interactive & where will I be able to purchase it online?

Thanks & best of luck for next issues.

Thanks for the words of praise. If you're willing to wait a bit before you buy the iPhone, you might want to look at the Palm Pre. This superb phone was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, and it seems to be quite the iPhone killer. There's no information on when exactly it will launch in India, but we hope to see it here around September. You can't yet upgrade to Windows 7, since it's currently about six to eight months away from release (unless it gets delayed .. hmm). The Beta version was freely available in January.

Here in the PCW Labs, we've been running Windows 7 Beta on most of our machines, and so far, it seems to be quite decent. You have to remember, though, that the machines in the Labs are pretty highly specced out (all of them have a minimum of 2 GB of RAM, for example), and the Beta has some bugs so l'd suggest you stick with Vista for the moment. If you want to try 7, install it as a dual-boot with Vista. GTA IV is readily available online. In fact, we purchased it ourselves and got the shiney new box in a week's time. There are many other online retailers, so feel free to pick
one that gives you the best price.
