Thread: Creating text columns

While creating a newsletter, it is very boring to read long paragraphs of text. You can distribute your text into columns. A single page can have many blocks of multicolumn text. For example, you can have text divided into a single column, two columns or three columns all on one page itself. To divide text into columns, select the required text. Go to the "Page Layout" tab and click the "Columns" option appearing under the "Page Setup" group. Click "More Columns". Select a value in the "Number of columns:" drop-down menu, and set "Spacing" value between columns as "0.2 cm". This is called as gutter space. You can also add a line to demarcate columns by clicking the relevant options in dialog box.
