    Default Overcome laptop' overheating

I own a laptop that's almost a year old now. It works perfectly fine but after an hour or so of use it heats up. I have developed sores on my palms because of handling my laptop due to this heating. It becomes impossible to work on my laptop and even worse, I cannot place it on my lap either. Is there any possible solution to this problem? Are certain applications responsible for this problem?

    SOLUTION:

There can be numerous reasons for overheating. These can be application driven or hardwarE:.driven. In case of a laptop that heats up easily, the cause can be heavy applications like games (that require the graphic card) and media playback software.Sometimes you may experience a system 'lock up'. o The first and most basic step is to examine if the existing cooling system is working properly. The fans (heat sinks) of your laptop are responsible for cooling down your system when it is overheated. Various components like dust and lint can reduce the rotational speed of the fan, If you resort to other techniques of cleaning then make sure that they are moisture proof. Moisture adds more problems to your Laptop.

o Another technique besides cleaning the fans is to use applications that help you monitor the speed of the fan and alert you every time the system is overheated. One of these applications is Speed Fan.

This application is available for Make sure that the CPU fan is dust and lint free. Deposits on the fan can cause download free it to slow down, thus increasing the risk of CPU overheating. of cost. Enter the following link in your browser's address and press
the [Enter] key, The application will be installed on your system. It will continuously monitor the temperature of your system and also display the CPU utilization. This can be used to test the behavior of your computer and the heat generated by it based upon the processes. An added advantage of using Speed Fan is that it is capable
of modulating the speed of the fan manually. This gives you complete control over the problem.

o The third solution to the problem is to simply add a cooling fan to your collection of laptop accessories. Such fans are easily available on the Internet. The fans are smartly built with a stand that elevates the laptop. This is done to provide a free flow of air from the vents since most of the fans are placed below the laptop. Most of the fans available are powered up by USB, however you can also get one that's powered by an adaptor. A popular example of an external cooling fan is the Ergo Fan Riser. And lastly, it is important to take basic precautions such as keeping your laptop away from intense heat, direct sunlight and stuffy environments.
