    Default Precautions against overhearing

I have recently purchased a desktop computer with a configuration that's ideal for gaming since I am a professional gamer. The high configuration of the machine causes it to heat up because of the large number of processes. Another problem I face is that I live in a coastal area. The weather here is hot and humid. Will this affect the heating of my PC. What precautions should I take to prevent the same?

    SOLUTION:

Staying in a coastal area can cause major problems for you since you have a gaming system that is very vulnerable to overheating. Most gaming machines come with sufficient ventilation vents and more than just one heat sink. However, it is advisable to take these precautions to avoid overheating of your system.

o Firstly and most importantly, maintain a balance in the temperature of the room where you have placed your computer. Avoid keeping it near your window since the humidity from outside may interfere with it. It is advisable to kee'p the monitor and cabinet covered with a dry cloth when not in use. Although it isn't a compulsion anymore, an air cpnditioned room will always be better for"the PC's health. It is however important to note that keeping your PC in a very cold environment can be as harmful as keeping it in a hot and humid one.

o The next most important precaution to take is to make sure that the vents at the back of your cabinet aren't blocked. These get blocked because of lint and dust. Cleaning the vents up regularly can keep the dust from accumulating. Maintaining a distance between the wall and the back of your computer is another way of preventing accumulation of dust on the vent covers.

o If you feel that your computer is heating up quickly, then observe which applications are responsible for it. Sometimes heavy applications use up too much CPU and this causes it to heat up. Although CPUs have a fan of their own to avoid heating, many computer systems break down because of overheating of CPUs. Shut down your
