Quite simply, NET Orbit 2.0 is a classroom software that also lets you keep an eye on your network. With its admin and client-based application, it is possible to supervise up to 100 systems simul¬taneously. Install adminapp. exe on the PC which will be used to control others over the network, and cliemapp.exe on individual computers that you'll be watching over. Take care that you unblock both applications from their respective computer's fire¬wall for proper functioning. Net Orbit's interface bears a strikingly similar resemblance to Microsoft Office 2007's new Ribbon UI.
So what all can be done from the admin panel?Along with monitoring systems, you can control machines remotely, check hardware and services. Features like screen annotation (screen sharing) are geared for educational environments, where it is possible to train each user on their respective screens without physically approaching them. What's more, the central administrator can allow clients to communicate with each other.
Net Orbit also has a few other good features like freeze mouse, ability to lock down a PC, chat, and transfer remote files from your PC to another. Activity monitoring services include keylogs, installed application view, control over running processes, and more. It does all this without memory usage shooting through the roof. System requirements for clients are quite low. All in all, Net Orbit is a not only a good tool for remote classroom features but also for tracking and controlling your network users.
software, you should give Auto Movie Creator (AMC) a try. It allows you to import media files from your computer, or capture video directly from a USB or FireWire device; either a digital camera or camcorder. We were impressed with AMC's intuitive storyboard inter¬face. You need no technical knowledge whatsoever to start: just drag-and-drop the scenes of your movie in the preferred order, add effects if required, music and narration, and text credits.
Auto Movie Creator has a unique feature in the form of Assistant Director. You can find it above the screen windoW., a toolbar with a hat icon. The assistant is always ready to advise you as you create your movie, every step of the"way. With easy to understand instructions, the assistant demystifies any technical gibberish and handles all the boring and tedious parts, while you concentrate plainly on the movie making aspects. You can tweak the aspect'ratio of your movie from 4:3 to 16:9 widescreen format. And once you're done creating the movie, you can export in a variety of popular file formats: AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV, DV - type I & II.
