Whenever you start your computer Vista will present you with the Welcome Center, which includes useful information about your PC. This may be fairly useful at first, but once you're used to using Vista it can become an annoyance. If you'd prefer not to see the Welcome Screen every time you turn on your PC, remove the tick next to where it says 'Run on startup' in the bottom left-hand corner. [fyou later find that you want to reopen the Welcome Center click Start, Control Panel, System and Maintenance then Welcome Center.
