It's possible to make the Notepad program add timestamps to information, which is ideal ifkeeping a log. To do this, begin by launching Notepad: click Start, All Programs, Accessories and then Notepad. ow, on the first line type a full stop followed by LOG (in capital letters) and press Return. Save the file with a suitable name and place a shortcut on the Windows Desktop or Taskbar for future use. When the file is next opened the date and time will be automatically added to the end of the log.
