Just about every program, in both Windows XP and Vista, provides cut, copy and paste tools. They are usually found in a menu, but why waste time when you can get to them instantly? Hold down the Ctrl key and press C to copy, X to cut and'V to paste. These shortcuts work in Windows and most other programs, too.
