As well as all the usual details, such as names, sizes and dates, Vista can show all kinds of extra information about files. Open Windows Explorer, click Views and select Details to switch to a list view. With this done press the Alt key and select Choose Detai Is from the View menu. A huge list of options will appear - select the information you want. Useful items include bit rate, which indicates the quality of music files, and 35mm focal length for photos. Once these details are ghown as columns in Explorer you can click on them to wrt the files by that information.
