Not all of us have perfect vision, so the text used in Windows can be hard to read. If this is the case in Windows XP right-click the Desktop, choose Properties, select the Appearance tab and make a choice from the Font Size menu - either Large fonts or Extra large fonts. In Vista press the Windows key and U together, select Make the computer easier to see, click Change the size of text and icons then choose Larger Scale.
