Receiving error "Missing command interpreter."
I think there is a non bootable CD or diskette in drive, it is likely that the computer may be trying to boot from a device further than your hard drive. Make sure that no floppy diskette or CD is in the computer.
Check it out the Boot option setup improperly; confirm that the boot options are system correctly within CMOS. We advise that the boot options be comparable to:
1. Floppy
2. Hard Drive
3. CD-ROM
4. Network
Make use of a bootable floppy diskette with sys.com on it. The first MS-DOS diskette, Windows 95, or Windows 98 diskette will also work.
1. Boot from the floppy diskette and get to a A:\> prompt.
2. Once at the prompt type sys c: and press enter
3. This should give you the message system transferred. Once the system has been transferred, remove the floppy diskette and reboot the computer.
This matter can only be determined with a bootable diskette. Then you have to cate a new one for using it
I think you are using Bad hard drive, it is likely that the hard drive may be leaving or by now is bad. If, after following the above steps, you are still getting errors with reference to the command analyst or the command.com being missing or bad, we suggest that you follow the below commands.
1. Boot the computer with a bootable floppy diskette.
2. At the prompt type fdisk /mbr and press enter.
3. This will return to a prompt with no message.
4. Once back at the prompt attempt to reboot the computer.
5. If the same issue occurs we recommend that you delete and restore the divider, and reinstall the operating system back onto the computer.
