Default CMOS checksum error - defaults loaded

Hey, it takes time to see the page to solve my problems, but today I had to make my own question, well to start the computer I get a message when I turn the "cmos checksum error defaults loaded" I started out when changing memory ram, placed first a ram 128 and the computer not turned on at all, then you put two and 128mb soon to start, then I started to receive the message "CMOS checksum ... etc" and finally I had him put the 512mb of the mark, but I met him and put two 512 RAM mark, the computer is an AMD 1.8GHz and 80GB of, windows xp sp2. I have read that it may be the battery, now my question is, will set the bios again if you change the battery? if so, just configure time or something else that set... you can lose information? Worth mentioning that when I booted up the pc by pressing F1 when the year goes to the 204, but as it is on a LAN guess is correct when, as has the 1.539b.

    Hello

indeed must begin by changing the battery, now, and besides change the date and time, you must locate in advance, memory clock and verify that the drive and adjust the frequency of the processor if I remember correctly for the 100MHz should be in to work at 1800 MHz. any further questions in this post consultation.
