Putting all speculation to rest, Microsoft has confirmed that Windows 7 will roll out in Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise editions. As opposed to Vista, each edition will be a superset of the lower tiers to avoid confusion. Home Basic will now be aimed at developing markets, while Home Premium will become the default for consumers.
