Perhaps the most important and useful component of the package, Windows Live Mail replaces Vista's built-in Windows Mail application (which itself replaced the extremely weak Outlook Express that came with XP). This new program is quite different from its predecessors, and is a lot closer in functionality as well as look and feel to the full-featured corporate mail client Outlook. Windows Live Mail takes on contact and calendar tasks too, replacing those small Windows accessories as well. You can download mail from multiple standard POP accounts as well as Hotmail, Gmail and other online providers.
