    Default Windows detects unknown device

I am using Windows 98 on my computer. When I insert my pen drive in the USB port, Windows detects it as unknown hardware. Does it need a driver or something? Kindly inform me what I should do for this. The pen drive is made by Lexar.

    Hello.

You will need a driver for any USB device that you use under Windows 98, Download the same from the manufacturer's website. You won't face this problem under Windows XP or any newer version, Why don't you upgrade from the outdated Windows 98?
