    Default Installer difficulty in Mouse

I have a Logitech cordless optical mouse that has no problems at all. Last night my mouse was running out of batteries. I got some of them in the afternoon and I couldn’t get my mouse to work again at all. When I try to update the driver/reinstall the mouse I get an error message saying that :

Windows could not load the installer for Mouse. Try to contact with your hardware vendor for assistance.
I have also looked all over for help and can find none. I hope that someone here can help???

Thank you very much for your time.

Did you tried to uninstall the Logitech Mouse ware from Add/Remove in the Control Panel before you try it again to reinstall?
