Thread: Confirmation email receipt

I am using Thunderbird for my emails and would like to receive receipts when they are read but cannot find any program for this.

Is it possible to receive them?

This is a very useful function if you are worried about emails being lost in spam filters as it sends an email back automatically when the recipient opens the message. It's not infallible as most email programs give the recipient the opportunity to cancel the receipt. Click on the Write icon in Thunderbird to create a new email. Click on the Options menu and then on the Return Receipt option.
