Thread: Information on getting a PC

I want to purchase a new computer o that I can use mostly online and I like to work on digital photography and watch some videos play games and for downloading some iTunes music and I am looking out for 10 to 20 GB of hard drive and P3 processor will it help me out? I would be thankful for your help?

I would like to advice you that should buy the latest P4 processor as the P3 is very old technology as compared to today’s system and they are even faster than P3 be careful about buying used computers online unless it’s so cheap that it won’t be a big loss but it may even be a bad computer. You also have to worry about getting one with pirated software as well. As you like to download iTunes music should at least have more than 80 GB or more than that hard drive to store your music files and videos and you like photo editing so even it need more space to store and today the P4 computer are more cheaper available in the market.
If you can find a Second-hand computer with Windows XP instead of Vista you may be better off since it will run faster on less hardware. Just try and get 512MB of RAM because it will make a difference. If you have to get Vista you may want to go for 1GB of RAM. For processors clearly something like an Intel Core Duo would be faster than a Celeron but will cost more. AMD makes some good processors as well but they also have cheaper slower ones.
