Thread: How to Troubleshoot DVD writer

I have presently installed a new DVD writer but the computer detects it only as CD drive and I have installed all the necessary applications related to it?

I would like to advice you that check whether your DVD writer is being enabled for CD burning or using it directly through windows XP burning application or by using any other software like Nero or any other software’s and confirm whether the writer is DVD or CD writer.
