In this step we will learn how add a glow to your text. You can also apply the same effect to any object around your text if required.
Open a new document. Set the dimension and resolution as required.
For the base background, apply a linear gradient at the top as shown.
Make a new layer on top of the background layer and apply a rainbow linear gradient of your choice. Apply the gradient from top to bottom with 25% fill and change the blending mode to 'Color'.
Make another gradient adjustment layer above the previous two. This one should have a radial gradient. Set the gradient as black and the transparency to 100%.
NOTE: If you find a black patch at the center of the image, check the 'Reverse' box and set the layer opacity to 65%.
Select the 'Text' tool and type an appropriate letter.
Change the layer blending mode from 'normal' to 'screen'.
Now double-click the text layer to open the 'Layer Style' palette.
Click 'Outer glow' and select options as shown.
Add a stroke and apply settings as shown.
NOTE: Select the 'Preview' checkbox to view the layer style before applying.
You will now see a faint image of the letter.
Duplicate the letter several times. In this example, each letter has been duplicated 8 times.
Now select all duplicate text layers and press Ctrl + G to create a new group set of all layers.
Duplicate the group and place it where you want your second letter to be.
Create duplicates of the group set for the remaining letters.
