The Microsoft Office 2007 suite receives a conso' lidated update package in the form of Service Pack 2. As most service packs do, it rolls together all previously released updates into a single package (useful when installing MS Office after a fresh re-format of your system).
In addition to perforance and stability related fixes for all apps of the suite, this service pack is also notable for adding support of new file-formats. Work can now be saved in Open Document formats (ODT for Word documents, ODS for Excel spreadsheets), and thus you can easily exchange files with those who use Open Office. Also, saving files to XPS and POF (Adobe's format) does not need a separate addon anymore.
