I have been facing a virus problem for a long time now and my system administrator has insisted on Quick Heal Antivirus. But I feel that its multiuser version is too expensive. Can you recommend which is the best antivirus program among the free and licensed options? Will free versions be able to solve my problems?

Just installing an antivirus program will ,not solve the problem entirely. It also depends on your Internet activities which include surfing and downloading. If you are extremely careful on your browsing habits, you can use a free antivirus program such as AVG, Avast or Antivir. If you want a licensed version, you can opt for Norton Antivirus 2009.
