After you have composed a new mail, you want to send it immediately using a shortcut key. But Thunderbird displays a warning, due to which you have to make use of the mouse
The reason why Thunderbird displays a warning message it that it wants to prevent you from dispatching an unfinished mail after pressing the [Ctrl] + [Enter] shortcut. But the dispatch can also be confirmed by pressing [Enter], since the 'Send' action is already pre-allocated as the default option.
You can permanently disable the message with the 'Do not show this window again' option. As an alternative, this can also be done via the advanced configuration. For this, open 'Tools I Options' and click the 'Advanced' category. Here, activate the 'General' tab and click 'Config Editor'. Type the following in the 'Filter' field.
mail. warn _ on _ send _ accel _ key
Then double-click it to adjust its logical value. Here, 'true' is the default setting for enabling the warning message and 'false' is the convenient variant that stops it. Now close the dialog and confirm the configuration with 'OK'. The changed setting is effective immediately. Set the value to 'true' if you want to reenable the warning message.
